Identification and Due Diligence Process

Identification

We only invest in emerging fund managers with exceptional talent and the highest performance potential. We look for independent managers with personal track records in historically proven business models who require operational funding to build the proper business infrastructure.

Due Diligence

Once the talent has been identified, we embark on a comprehensive due diligence and screening process to ensure that the manager is investing in historically proven business models and has a talented team with sound personal track records. Our primary objective is to select affiliates who meet the EquiBridge investment criteria including, but not limited to:

Successful personal track records investing in target sectors, asset classes and geographies: private equity, hedge funds, real estate, energy, life sciences, or information technology
Stable, experienced team of professionals
Significant operational and/or industry expertise
Effective internal investment process
Strong financing and structuring skills
Proprietary deal flow
Ability to create value post-closing


Final Evaluation

Once these initial criteria have been met, we move on to a more involved evaluation period. During this process, we look for fund managers who we believe share our high ethical standards, possess superior and specialized expertise, and are best positioned to execute successful investment strategies. The evaluation criteria for prospective affiliates and their proposals include the ability to accomplish the following:

Demonstrating experience relevant in or directly applicable to the market in which they propose to work
Exhibiting the necessary skills and experience to execute the proposed strategy, including evidence from similar endeavors of their ability to work with their team
Dedicating sufficient time, effort, and a meaningful personal financial commitment toward the proposed opportunity
Including sufficient detail and specifics to allow for proper review of the opportunity and verification of the investment concept
Supporting an attractive risk/reward trade-off, based on reasonable assumptions
